What is Petroleum Engineering?
Nitesh Kumar: "Petroleum engineering is a field of engineering concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Exploration and production are deemed to fall within the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry."
How I got into Petroleum Engineering?
Nitesh Kumar: "I have done B Tech & M Tech from Roorkee. I also did M Sc and Ph D from Texas Tech, USA. I have worked with various companies like Murphy Oil, Shell, Bangalore, Stat Oil, British Petroleum and Petronas in Malaysia. I am Professor and HOD of Petroleum and Energy Studies in DIT University, Dehradun."
