Disha Ramanan: "Animal welfare is the well-being of non human animals.Animal welfare science uses various measures, such as longevity, disease, immunosuppression, behavior, physiology, and reproduction, although there is debate about which of these indicators provide the best information.Animal welfare science uses various measures, such as longevity, disease, immunosuppression, behavior, physiology, and reproduction."
How I got into Animal Welfare?
Disha Ramanan: "I did B Sc in Mathematics from University of Delhi and M Sc in Environment Science from The Global Open University, Nagaland. Meanwhile I started working for stray animals taking care of them, feeding them and providing medical assistance. Through social media I also provide assistance for adoption of the animals and finding them foster homes."
