Kanwal Singh did her schooling from DPS, Mathura Road and Bachelors in Psychology from Jesus and Marcy College, Delhi. After that she did her Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education from SRS. She started working in 1988 in the field of Special Education. She worked in AADI for around 20 years with different roles such as teaching, teacher training and finally became the Head of the Institute. In 2009, she joined an NGO by the name of Vishwaas as Director Education and Training. There she established an inclusive school where disabled students study with non-disabled children. She writes articles on Special Education and is also writing a book. She is also doing Independent Consulting on Special Education.

What is Educating Special Children / What is a Career in Educating Special Children: Special Education is the teaching method for those students who are mentally, physically, socially and/or emotionally delayed. Various roles are played by the educator from teaching to taking care of the disabled children and fufil all their needs.
