Meenakshi has done her Bachelor's in Physical Education from Laxmibai National College of Physical Education. After graduation she did my masters in Physical Education and Diploma in Yoga.In 1980, she started her career in teaching physical education in different schools and college's. She has represented India in 1982 Asian Games in Delhi and in 1985 in World Games, London.In the year 1986 she made a record along with 18 cadets and covered 580 kms in 11 days.
