Sargam did her History (Hon) from LSR, DU, followed by Masters in History from IGNOU, Delhi. She then worked as a Journalist with UNI. After that she did her another Masters in Communication from Doon University where she is working as Assistant Professor in Communications. She has also worked with INTACH which inspired her to co-found Been There, Doon That?.
