An effective vocal teacher not only imparts technical skills but also inspires a love for music, nurturing students' creativity and confidence in their abilities. Renu emphasizes the importance of mentorship and discipline in this journey. The commitment to continuous practice and learning creates a dynamic environment where students can flourish.

Education

She credits her early music education to her notable gurus, which was not merely academic but a spiritual endeavor where every lesson became a means of deeper understanding. Renu believes that having a robust educational background in music is paramount to imparting knowledge; one cannot teach effectively without first gaining a solid grounding themselves.

Rhythm

Understanding rhythm is critical in vocal music. Renu discusses how rhythm acts as the undercurrent of a melodic journey, much like spices bring a dish to life. She notes that various forms of rhythm, or 'taal', are essential in vocal training, allowing students to appreciate music not just theoretically, but practically. Through her teachings, she imparts this crucial aspect, ensuring her students develop a keen ear for rhythmic patterns, which significantly enhances their overall musicality.

Different Ragas
