The Journey of a Cafe Manager: Anish Singh's Culinary Adventure

In the bustling world of food and beverage, few roles are as dynamic and multifaceted as that of a cafe manager. Meet Anish Singh, a dedicated entrepreneur who transitioned from a life at sea in the Merchant Navy to running a thriving cafe called Monkey Fist, renowned for its delectable burgers and shakes. In this article, we will explore Anish's experiences in cafe management, delving into the educational background, essential skills, the joys and challenges of running a cafe, and a glimpse into a day in his life.

What Is Cafe Management?

Cafe management is the art and science of overseeing the operations of a cafe, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the moment the doors open until they close. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including inventory management, customer service, food preparation, and staff coordination. As Anish points out, it requires not only a passion for food but also a head for business and a knack for understanding people. Success in this field hinges on the ability to maintain high standards of quality while juggling various tasks and fostering a welcoming environment for patrons.
