What is Writing?

Writing is a great Career option. Understanding Why one wants to choose a Career in Writing is phenomenally more important than figuring out How to get into Writing. Just like you would normally not trust a non Doctor with names of medicines, you should also not trust opinions about Writing from non professionals.

Writer Sudha Jugran invested 25 years & 8 months in Writing. Writer Sudha Jugran defines Writing as:

Writing is a medium of human communication that represents language with signs and symbols. Writing, in other words, is not a language, but a tool used to make languages readable. Within a language system, writing relies on many of the same structures as speech, such as vocabulary, grammar, and semantics, with the added dependency of a system of signs or symbols. The writing context requires writers to have a sense of the reader's expectations and an awareness of conventions for a particular piece of writing. The context of the piece further determines the appropriate tone, level of vocabulary, kind and placement of evidence, genre, and sometimes even punctuation. In order to communicate effectively, we need to order our words and ideas on the page in ways that make sense to a reader.
